What does "Phenomenal Woman" mean to you?
A phenomenal woman
rejoices in her femininity, expressing it through her attitude, appearance, as
well as her bearing. She is one who
adores the Lord and can wear many hats as a wife, mother, and friend. She is a
woman who displays substance, character, and class. Her poise is superior and
her intellect is amazing, she speaks subtle yet with authority. A phenomenal
woman knows her flaws and embraces her imperfections. She’s phenomenal in every
aspect of the way she walks, talks, and carries herself. She perfectly defines
imperfection and own sit. To me, that is phenomenally a phenomenal woman….
that’s me.
1 What is your brand and how did you get started?
As a young child, my dad
has always instilled in me that the “Foreman” name is a brand.
At that time, it was a whole different definition in my head to prove to
my parents that I could uphold the Foreman name and make them proud in
everything I did. I never fully understood until I grew into my own woman that
all along, I was beginning to build my own brand. What makes me a
brand is not just having the certainty knowing I am one, yet realizing that
I've endeavored to set myself in place to carry on as a brand. I comprehend
what it feels like to be held to a strangely exclusive expectation feeling like
you generally must be flawless, smart, and gifted. Every young lady battles to
be wonderful and effective, however, I try to display myself more to help them
understand from a real world outlook that our own satisfaction is the thing
that starts things off for us, not what we see on reality TV or social media.
What is your dream goal and how do you plan on achieving it?
I want
to make a pleasant work establishment that I can get up each morning and be
glad doing and doing it well. It does not matter if it’s teaching Spanish or
off in the modeling industry. When I am working towards any of my goals, I make
sure my face sufficiently is unforgettable. I would like to leave an amazing
impression on big marketable people and businesses so that the tables could
turn and they would want to offer themselves to me.
I
would love to model for my role model Beyoncé one day… and I feel it WILL
happen.
Name a moment that inspired you to feel more
confident and inspired you to be comfortable in the skin you are in.
I was never as confident as I am now, but my
biggest issue with myself started off with my body. With the society we live in
right now, everyone expects you to have this delicious coke bottle looking
shape; being called anorexia, toothpick, and bones since a child made me feel
like I wasn’t enough woman and messed up my confidence all around. Keeping
those feelings of hurt and judgment locked in and not expressing my feelings
all bottled up to myself developed even more self-issues in me… still having
things to work on, but I have come a long way in the last 3 years.
Back
in my hometown of Galveston as a mentor, cheer coach, and praise dance director
for the local community center. It is my
aspiration to always reach back to lend a helping hand to others and those in
need, not only in my community but throughout life. Yesterday, today, and
tomorrow I will always be me and my goal is not to change who I am, but to
advance myself to where I have not been before. I am becoming a better version
of myself each day and to reach heights that I never imagined. Through life’s
trials and tribulations, I have realized how blessed I have been with the ability
to start a new day to grow personally and spiritually. I’ve always been a
leader, but college took my leading to a whole different level. Being an Alpha Kappa Alpha woman
on a HBCU campus puts you on a very high pedestal. Acknowledging how many
individuals I could move with my desire and drive to keep on pushing for
incredible, made me understand the effect I could make on others' lives and
that I could be a testimony of one who has developed from her mistakes in life.
To have others, both female and male, come to me for advice inspired me more to
stand up about my faults, my ups, and my downs. Everybody can encounter having
a past, however it's what you are doing now in the present prompting to your
future that decide your prosperity.
1 Name a person (dead or alive) that you look up to & why?
The empowerment of women through my choices on a day to day basis
was instilled in me as a child by my most influential role model being my
mother. As I observed my parents go through great struggles, I was truly inspired
by their strength. As I grew into a young woman, I saw how much my parents
sacrificed for my younger sister and I to go above and beyond anything we could
imagine for ourselves. Being the oldest sibling, I have taken the
responsibilities of being a role model for my sister: setting standards for her
to go above and beyond my achievements.
Another
one of my role models I can’t let go unnoticed as well is my girl Beyoncé of course!!!! I’ve loved her
since I could listen and learn words to Destiny’s Child Albums. I remember when
I got my first CD player and received the Destiny’s Child CD “Writing’s on the
Wall”. I had the whole CD on repeat all
day every day! Since then I never slacked off from Beyoncé. As she ventured off into her
own solo career her music, style, and growth as a woman helped me a lot when I
felt I couldn’t talk to anyone. The way she keeps her life to herself, the way
she makes boss moves in silence, and NEVER lash back to ignorance from society
has motivated me to act in the same ways.
When it comes to being a woman, what do you feel should be the
three core values that a lady should uphold?
Poise
charisma
spirituality
1 What is your favorite quote and what does it mean to you?
My dad has always told me “Reach for the Heavens, because even
if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.”
I've lived by that quote since I can remember. It
has helped me advance through a considerable measure of extreme circumstances. I’ve
developed some scares, but I still persevered and made it through.

Piece of advice that you would give to young girls who aren't
confident with themselves?
I cherish helping and giving advice to other women on how to
figure out how to love and grasp their womanliness while additionally pursuing
the things they are passionate about. I’m not completely there yet, but I
have seen storms. I have developed such a great amount in such a variety of
courses just by managing life. Many individuals will never truly know since I
don't communicate all that I experience and never truly got a kick out of the
chance to discuss it I simply kept everything in, I felt that nobody would
understand me. I post my achievements and me getting a charge out of life as I
ought to, yet I felt I needed to keep my image up because individuals are so
quick to judge and go off of what they see not having an idea about what you
are truly encountering behind those achievements and great circumstances. Once
I was put in a leader position, mostly in college I quickly learned as many students
felt comfortable enough to come to me for advice that I was not alone, many of
my peers had been through some of the same issues I faced. They then soon began
to realize as I unfold my reality life that just because I am a campus leader
doesn’t mean I was perfect. My goal as a leader was and still is to be the
leader that helped others find that wonderful leader within themselves. I
haven't generally been the surest individual on the planet, however for me to
get in sync with myself I needed to figure out how to love me for me before
attempting to love any other, embracing all my flaws understanding growth and
maturity will come from my mistakes and prayer.
