1. What does Phenomenal Woman mean to you?
A phenomenal woman to me is a woman who owns her choices, her mistakes and uses every opportunity to grow better, not bitter.

2. What is your brand and how did you get started?
Kei-Sygh Thomas
My brand is still developing, but I would definitely say real, motivating, funny and thoughtful. I try my best to present my most authentic self and to make sure that my actions match what I believe.

3. What is your dream goal and how do you plan on achieving it?
My dream goal is to be a (Pulitzer, Emmy, Peabody, etc) awarding winning journalist. I want to work to have my own talk show one day and I have no idea how I’m going to get there honestly. I feel like trying my best and taking advantage of every opportunity offered to me will get me there. But in the process, I want to make sure I’m building bridges and pipelines for people who look like me and want to accomplish similar goals.

4. Name a moment that inspired you to feel more confident and inspired you to be comfortable in the skin you are in.
I think positive daily interactions help me feel more comfortable in the skin I’m in. The more I’m myself and people accept me for it, the more it allows me to be unapologetically me.

5. Name a person (dead or alive) that you look up to and why?
I look up to so many people but for journalism/writing, I look up to Malcom Gladwell and Nikole Hannah Jones. I love their writing styles and admire their brilliance so much. For Nikole, I love how she unapologetically herself and honest in her red curly hair glory.

6. When it comes to being a woman, what do you feel should be the three core values that a lady should uphold?
A lady should always value honesty, hard work, and resilience. I think anyone can get ahead by being honest with themselves and others, putting their best foot forward, and having the courage to bounce back If something doesn’t go their way.

7. Favorite quote and what it means to you?
“Leaders don’t create followers, they create more leaders.” I believe a great leader is a person who encourages and motivates others to take action and lead themselves.

8. Piece of advice that you would give to young girls who aren't confident with themselves?
For young girls who aren’t confident in themselves, I was there. Heck, I still am sometimes. I just want you to remember that everyone’s still trying to figure life out and it’s never too late to work on things you want to improve.
